CourseMax, a developer of systems that proficiently manage the business of training, has named Ron Labez Gandiza as vice president of business development.
A 17-year veteran of the training industry, Gandiza designed and built enterprise-level training programs for both the Army and the Air Force while working at the Pentagon.
He also helped conceptualize and launch Microsoft’s academic support program, known as the Microsoft IT Academy Program, which supports more than 2,000 academic institutions worldwide.
Most recently, he served as the global director of programs for Culminis, helping grow the organization into the largest support network of IT professional organizations in the world.
His extensive training experience in corporate, academic and government sectors has made him a popular keynote speaker and guest lecturer at conferences around the country.
In his new role, Gandiza will develop and execute strategy for global sales and marketing outreach for CourseMax’s Training Center Management (TCM), which streamlines operations, reduces costs, expands advertising and marketing opportunities and increases the profitability of classes for training centers.
The on-demand application and turnkey student portal allows training organizations to better manage their sales, marketing, class schedules, enrollments, classrooms, instructors and other resources — all through a user-friendly, Web-based interface.
“Ron is a real visionary in the training industry and brings an incredible track record of success to CourseMax,” said Dan Blake, CourseMax founde and CEO. “Landing someone of Ron’s caliber is testament to the strength of our solution and market potential. His experience and guidance will be critical to our continued growth.”
Gandiza said he looks forward to the opportunities that await him.
“I am excited about joining CourseMax because they are delivering exactly what training organizations have struggled with most, which is a way to centrally manage and promote their training programs more effectively and efficiently” Gandiza said. “CourseMax has the right system for an industry desperate for an affordable solution to better manage its resources.”
