When you think of enterprise learning, the term “innovation” is a constant thread in the programs we develop. From the days of apprenticeship to today’s e-learning simulations CLO’s are constantly seeking new and better methods to improve workforce performance.
As a media company, we have similar aspirations: How do we communicate better in the fast-paced, mobile environment in which you, our readers, exist?
The Internet has played a significant role in both our professions. Your delivery of e-learning to a global workforce has never been easier and more cost-effective. Similarly, our ability to communicate with you keeps getting better and better. Judging from your response to our e-newsletters, your attendance of our e-seminars and your growing use of our CLOmedia.com Web site, you are finding our electronic media as compelling as you do the magazine itself.
Technology is our friend and our partner. But like you, we are always looking for new ways to connect and get our message out. And boy, do we have one for you now!
With this issue of Chief Learning Officer, we are extending our delivery into the digital world with the launch of Digital CLO, an electronic edition of Chief Learning Officer that will bring all of the content of CLO directly to your computer screen. The NXTBook technology that powers Digital CLO will require no downloads and will provide you with access to CLO whenever you want and wherever you go.
Digital CLO will include all the features from the print edition and more. The NXTBook technology delivers a dynamic experience not possible on the printed page. In-depth information and resources are now just a click away delivered with a truly three-dimensional feel powered by streaming audio and video, Flash animation and live hyperlinks. You’ll be able to bookmark particular features, e-mail issues and articles to colleagues or team members and navigate Digital CLO in a variety of convenient ways.
I could go on, but in this case, a digital test-drive says a thousand words.
All subscribers will receive the next few issues of Digital CLO automatically (along with the print issue, which is not going away). If you want to continue receiving the enhanced, on-demand resources, I invite you to visit www.clomedia.com/digitalclo to sign up for a free subscription.
From your experiences, you know a little innovation goes a long way. That’s true in this case too. The portability of Digital CLO will allow you easier access to Chief Learning Officer’s growing global audience, which in turn, will allow you easier access to enhanced information worldwide.
I’m confident you’ll appreciate the ease and portability of Digital CLO. I hope so, because this is certainly the wave of the future, breaking now. You’ll see more and more publications following this path, tapping into the power of technology to reach wider audiences in more convenient ways.
Check it out, and let me know what you think of our new digital marvel.
