I think corporate universities are as current now as ever. The rate of change (in business) is faster than most educational systems are designed to manage. As we move forward, we will use all types of instruction models to bring the highest possible learning in the shortest amount of time. While it’s quick to do e-learning, face to face time is hard to beat. It will depend on the subject matter.
Our corporate university is currently off-site. We have more than 120,000 team members, and training and development (at all levels) is important to Tyson Foods. Managing our intellectual capital is a combination of offering various learning experiences.
