Affiliated Computer Services Inc. now provides outplacement services for transitioning employees. ACS Transition Services – Powered by RiseSmart is the newest addition to its suite of human resources outsourcing solutions.
ACS Transition Services - Powered by RiseSmart provides companies experiencing job reductions a Web-based service that focuses on helping transitioned employees quickly attain their next job and proposes to reduce employer outplacement costs by up to 50 percent compared to traditional services.
“This is a new model for transition services, one that is geared to providing strong returns for both employers and employees,” said Mark Squiers, executive managing director, ACS Human Resources Outsourcing services. “By eliminating costly traditional services like office space and group seminars, which have been found to be of low value to employees, the focus is on aggressively helping workers find a new job. The outplacement services program can accommodate all levels of employees from across many different industries, and Web-based operations enable transition services to be provided to individuals in any location. Employees access outplacement services at any time through a custom company-branded portal. Transitioning employees are each assigned a transition specialist who provides one-on-one support and coaching, creates a personalized, professionally written custom resume, assists them in utilizing social networks in their job search and delivers job leads from across the Web.
