Radcom Raises Funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Hudson, Ohio — Nov. 25
Radcom’s Mighty Marchers was again named one of the top fundraising teams at the Lock 3 “Light the Night” Walk in Akron, Ohio, to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by raising more than $4,300 to date. The team is sponsored by Radcom, a northeast Ohio consulting firm specializing in instructional design and technical communication.

Mighty Mikey, an eight-year-old leukemia-fighting superhero and the son of Radcom principals, Bob and Angie Dianetti counted down the start to the walk and led the procession of hope around Canal Park Stadium and Lock 3 in Akron. This year’s walk was on a warm fall evening on Sept. 25.

Team co-captain Rebecca Martin said, “It was great to see Mikey on stage getting everyone excited for the walk, especially since this is the team’s fourth year and Mikey has been symptom free for a year!” A total of 25 team members supported the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the walk. Mighty Mikey beamed: “I was able to walk the whole way by myself this year now that I have more energy and feel better.”

Mighty Mikey and the team send their thanks to Pizza Works in Warren, Ohio, for distributing team flyers to their customers and to Premier Printing and Signs of Stow, Ohio, for donating team business cards for the third year in a row.

Shannon Siwicki, team co-captain, said, “We’re still a little short of our goal of $5,000, but people can donate to the team through December 31st, so we still have hope that we’ll beat our goal to support the same research that helped Mikey.”
