NetSpeed Learning Solutions announced that it has been awarded a five-year contract to provide a series of workshops on various leadership and organizational development topics to the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO). The contract, involving its NetSpeed Leadership program, also includes the training of internal trainers within GAO.
Topics include The Role of Leaders, Working With Communication Styles, Coaching to Redirect, Delegating Smartly, Meeting Change with Resilience, Managing Time in Fast Forward, Communicating to Influence, Transforming Team Conflict, Building Open Communication, Turning Performance Problems Around, Building the Total Team and Creating an Inspiring Work Culture.
The courses provided by NetSpeed Leadership entail experiential, interactive learning in three-hour classroom sessions followed by a series of individualized online reinforcement tools to help ensure that the learning in the classroom can begin to be applied on the job to complement the individual’s career development. The goal is to use this blended learning model to help the participant make the necessary changes and behavioral modification to increase his or her effectiveness.
“We looked in depth at several companies and are delighted to begin working with NetSpeed Leadership,” commented Carol Willett, chief learning officer at GAO. “Their innovative blended learning model is unique. They’ve done all the ‘heavy lifting’ and with some minor adaptations to our specific culture and organization, we are ready to immediately launch an exciting program to help train and develop leaders at a variety of levels throughout GAO.”
In addition to the staff at the GAO headquarters in Washington, NetSpeed Leadership will be conducting workshops and training GAO trainers at field locations in Atlanta, Dallas and Seattle. Cynthia Clay, president of NetSpeed Learning Solutions, remarked, “We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected to work with GAO. It helps catapult our company to a new threshold, and to be working with such a premier, quality-driven, professional organization of our federal government is really exciting.”
