Grand Haven, Mich. — Nov. 20
Media 1 is pleased to announce that Harrison Withers, production director, has been named by the Grand Rapids Business Journal as one of the “40 Under 40” business leaders in West Michigan. His achievements, along with those of the other finalists, were recognized in the Nov. 5 issue and at a reception on Nov. 8. According to the competition organizers, the number of nominations this year exceeded all previous years.
Three judges reviewed the nominations: Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce President Jeanne Englehart, Grand Valley State University Center for Free Enterprise Director Tom Schwarz and local accounting firm owner and Small Business Association board member Paul Hense.
Harrison came to Media 1 in 2004, during a time when the company was at a plateau in business growth. In the two and a half years since joining the team, he has exhibited extraordinary skills helping to lead a multidisciplinary team of instructional designers and developers through a period of extraordinary growth. “Harrison is a true asset to our company,” said Chris Willis, CEO of Media 1. “He is a true professional and has played a key role in bolstering our company’s sense of cohesiveness and creating an environment in which creativity flourishes. I am proud to have him as a member of our team.”
