Ed Cohen is chief technology officer for Plateau Systems. He is a pioneer in learning content and reusable learning objects, having founded Sensory Computing in 1996 before it merged with Plateau in 1999. Sensory’s instructional titles have become a standard in the nuclear power industry. Cohen serves as chairman of the Aviation Industry CBT Committee’s (AICC) training infrastructure subcommittee. He is the only software executive from outside the aviation industry serving on the AICC, which is considered one of the two main e-learning standards bodies. Cohen also is a regular speaker at international e-learning seminars and a frequent contributor to major e-learning and HR publications.
