IDC is seeking a program manager to lead its internationally recognized Learning Services Research team. Companies hoping to flourish in the knowledge economy realize that they must effectively link human performance to primary business drivers. IDC’s Learning Services Research explores the changing purchase patterns of these organizations and the technological and service innovations that will propel vendors into market-leading positions.
The program manager is responsible for setting the course of the learning services program and the specific research agenda. The program manager will define and deliver research documents and consulting projects on behalf of vendors selling learning services, content and software to the corporate market, as well as to the buyers they serve. The role has many client-facing and industry-facing responsibilities, including building the reputation of the program and partnering with sales and marketing staff on business development activities. Specific responsibilities include managing the financial performance of the Learning Services family of research programs, executing the research schedule, providing advisory support to clients and driving consulting, multi-client studies and honoraria. This program manager role involves mentoring and guiding a senior research analyst, also part of the Learning Services program at IDC.
Qualified candidates will have experience in corporate education and development (either as a practitioner or a vendor) and be able to speak authoritatively on trends and issues related to employee learning and the larger field of workforce management (i.e., human capital management). We are seeking individuals with market analysis experience and/or product planning, strategy and advisory experience in the learning community.
