I read the latest issue (Chief Learning Officer magazine, November 2002) and found the articles well written and very informative. The article on corporate universities comes close to heart because this is a vision I have for IHOP—that we can have an IHOP University where learning and training are closely linked to our business goals.
I also found the article on “Defending your Training Budget: ROI and Other Important Metrics” relevant and useful to our company’s new focus on the ROI of training. It’s packed with information and examples that can prepare us before we train our staff on ROI. (I’m currently organizing ROI training for our staff to be held in March 2003.)
I commend Dr. (Jim) L’Allier for simplifying this concept (including the procedures, formulas, metrics, etc.), which may sound too academic for a lot of people in the business world.
